7-Hydroxy-3-(4’-methoxyphenyl)-4-methylcoumarin is a hydroxycoumarin derivative. It has the molecular formula CHNO and is a colorless solid. This compound has shown to be a moderately potent inhibitor of human CYP2E1 (cytochrome P450 2E1) in vitro with an IC50 of 3.6 μM, and competitively inhibits the binding of coumarin to cytochrome P450.
