Description:
2-Propenamide, N-(2-hydroxyethyl)-2-methyl-, is a biodegradable, oxalyl, thionyl, encapsulation, hydrophobic and uptake agent. It is used to prepare micelles that are able to penetrate the cell membrane and release their contents into the cytoplasm. The reactive copolymerization of 2-propenamide with an amine or hydroxyl group can form ionotropic gelation with chloride ions. This polymerization also leads to gelation in the presence of water or other polar solvents. These properties make this compound an ideal candidate for drug delivery systems for cancer therapy.
