- N-(Carboxycarbonyl)glycine
- Oxamic acid, (carboxymethyl)-
Oxalylglycine is a chemical compound that inhibits the enzyme hydroxylase, which is involved in the synthesis of fatty acids. It has been shown to improve blood flow around the heart and to reduce the size of infarcts in animal models. In addition, Oxalylglycine also inhibits polymerase chain reaction (PCR), which leads to hypoxia-inducible factor 1 (HIF-1) activation, and it can be used for bowel disease. Oxalylglycine also has pluripotent cell activities, such as differentiation into endothelial cells, erythrocytes, or neural cells.
