N,N-Dimethylbenzhydrylamine (DMBA) is an aliphatic organic compound that contains a cyclic hydroxy group. DMBA is soluble in water and has a boiling point of 320°C. It can be used as a monomer for the production of polyurethane, as well as for the synthesis of other compounds such as cyclic amines and diisocyanates. DMBA can be synthesized by refluxing benzene, sulfur, and dimethylamine under pressure.
