2-Hydroxy-6-methoxy-4-methylquinoline (2OH6MMQ) is a synthetic molecule that has been shown to be an anti-cancer agent. It is a single strand DNA mimic, which can bind to and inhibit the activity of topoisomerase II and III enzymes. 2OH6MMQ also has been shown to have synergistic effects when used with quinidine, or other drugs that target single stranded DNA.
