4-Chlorophenyl)methyl acetate is an ester of the organic compound 4-chlorophenol and the alcohol methyl alcohol. This product is a white solid that can be used for the encapsulation of lipases. The acetylation reaction can be carried out with sodium acetate in methanol at room temperature and pH 8-9.
