Product Information
- 2,3-Dimethylaniline hydrochloride
- 2,3-Dimethylaniline Hydrochloride (1:1)
2,3-Dimethylaniline hydrochloride is an amine that is used as a precursor in the synthesis of other drugs. It has been shown to have carcinogenic activity and is classified as a possible human carcinogen. The drug elimination half-life of 2,3-dimethylaniline hydrochloride is about 1.8 hours after intravenous administration and about 3 hours after oral administration. The amide group of 2,3-dimethylaniline hydrochloride binds to the ion-exchange resin and can be removed by elution with a solution containing chloride ions. This process can be used for the purification of 2,3-dimethylaniline hydrochloride from impurities such as hydrochloric acid and organic acids.
