Product Information
- 4-Diethylaminoacetophenone
- 1-[4-(Diethylamino)Phenyl]Ethanone
4'-Diethylaminoacetophenone is a long-acting antitumor agent that is used in veterinary medicine. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of animals with leukemia and other cancers. 4'-Diethylaminoacetophenone binds to amines and forms oxychloride derivatives, which are cytotoxic agents that inhibit cell division by interfering with DNA replication and transcription. 4'-Diethylaminoacetophenone also inhibits tumour cell proliferation by inhibiting protein synthesis, thereby blocking the production of RNA and proteins. This drug also has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties when it reacts with thiourea to form ethylene chloride, which inhibits prostaglandin synthesis.
