It has a high affinity for this receptor and activates adenylate cyclase activity in vivo. 3-(Piperazin-1-yl)propanamide has been shown to be effective against rat liver microsomes, with a molecular weight of 291. The effective dose for this agent is not yet known, but it has been shown to be safe in vitro studies. This drug also interacts with the piperazine ligand.
