Description:
Trans,trans-2,4-Nonadienal-D4 is a potent inducer of the production of fatty acids and isovaleric acid. It has been shown to have potent anti-inflammatory properties in cell culture experiments. Trans,trans-2,4-Nonadienal-D4 has been shown to have genotoxic effects in primary cells by inducing DNA strand breaks and oxidizing DNA bases. This compound also has radical scavenging activity. Trans,trans-2,4-Nonadienal-D4 is an analog of trans,trans-,2,5-nonadienal.
