Description:
4-Nonanol is a fatty acid that can be found in the esters of ethyl decanoate. It is produced by the oxidation of fatty acids and has been found to have a wide range of applications including use as an analytical reagent. 4-Nonanol has also been shown to inhibit the growth of malignant cells, which may be due to its ability to inhibit malonic acid synthesis. This compound is also used in dry weight determinations and has been used as a sample preparation reagent for enzymatic reactions.
