Description:

BOC-p-nitrophenylalanine is an inhibitor of the L-type acid transporter that is used to study the function of this protein. It has been shown to inhibit metalloendopeptidase activity, which may be involved in tumorigenesis, and also has anti-oxidant properties. BOC-p-nitrophenylalanine has been shown to have antimicrobial activity against microsporum and other fungi. This drug conjugates with membrane proteins such as bifunctional amide and uptake proteins such as mcf-7.
