Description:

N,N'-Bis(trimethylsilyl)-urea is a flavonoid derivative that binds to the DNA binding proteins of the genome. It inhibits DNA replication and transcription by preventing RNA polymerase from binding to the DNA template. This drug has been shown to inhibit cancer cell growth in vitro in a dose-dependent manner. N,N'-Bis(trimethylsilyl)-urea is also an inhibitor of telomerase activity and can be used for chronic arthritis treatment. The drug has been shown to stimulate antibody response in vivo and is useful for polyclonal antibody production in vitro.
