Description

N-Benzyl N,N,N-triethylammonium bromide is a metal hydroxide that is used to remove anhydrous sodium and glycol ether from wastewater. It has been shown to have synergistic effects with picolinic acid. This product may be used in the treatment of wastewater contaminated with metals such as lead, mercury, or arsenic. It also has high resistance against water vapor and can be used for surface methodology. The reaction mechanism involves the formation of p-hydroxybenzoic acid by hydrolysis of benzoic acid through a trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) solution. This reaction solution can then be applied to the surface of metal hydroxides and anhydrous sodium in order to remove them from wastewater.
