Description:

2-Bromo-5-fluoropyridine is an antiviral agent that inhibits the activity of influenza virus neuraminidase, a hemagglutinin and neuraminidase enzyme. It is a pyrazole drug that can be used as an effective alternative to oseltamivir, which has been found to have reduced potency against recent strains of influenza A. 2-Bromo-5-fluoropyridine is also a potent allosteric modulator of opioid receptors and may be useful in the treatment of opioid dependence.
