Bis[2-[N-ethyl(heptadecafluorooctanesulphonyl)amino]ethyl] hydrogen phosphate is an organophosphate that has been used as a pesticide and biocide. It can be found in the environment due to its persistence, bioaccumulation, and toxicity. Bis[2-[N-ethyl(heptadecafluorooctanesulphonyl)amino]ethyl] hydrogen phosphate is not readily absorbed through the skin or gastrointestinal tract. It is eliminated via the lungs and kidneys, which limits its bioavailability. Bis[2-[N-ethyl(heptadecafluorooctanesulphonyl)amino]ethyl] hydrogen phosphate has been shown to biomagnify in aquatic food chains, but it bioaccumulates less in animals than other organophosphates because it is efficiently biotransformed by microorganisms into a less toxic substance.
