Description:
The synthesis of 5-(bromomethyl)-4-methyl-2-[4-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]-1,3-thiazole is a large-scale process. The reagents used in the process are bromoacetate, sulfur, and a grignard reagent. The preparation process starts with the addition of a grignard reagent to bromoacetate in the presence of sulfur. The reaction is then heated to give the desired product.
