Product Information
- 3-Bromo-4-(trifluoromethyl)pyridine
3-bromo-4-(trifluoromethyl)pyridine is a n-oxide of an amination reaction. It belongs to the group of intramolecular enamines, and can be synthesized from pyridine. 3-bromo-4-(trifluoromethyl)pyridine reacts with nitrous acid to form an enamine, which undergoes hydrolysis to produce 3-nitrosobenzene. This intermediate reacts with ammonia to give an imine, which then undergoes hydrogenation to form the final product.
