Description:
2,4-Bis(trifluoromethyl)benzonitrile is a copper-containing catalyst that can be used in catalytic reactions. It activates copper as a catalyst by transmetallation with iodides. 2,4-Bis(trifluoromethyl)benzonitrile has been shown to increase the yields of catalytic reactions over other copper salts. This reagent is also an additive for many organic compounds, such as trifluoromethylated reagents, to produce trifluoromethylated products.
