4-bromo-2-fluoro-1-(trifluoromethyl)benzene is a chemical that is used as a medicine. It has carbamate, hydrogen peroxide, and glycol properties and it is chiral. It is synthesized by the reaction of hydrogen chloride with chlorodiphenylphosphine. 4-bromo-2-fluoro-1-(trifluoromethyl)benzene reacts with nucleophiles to form adducts. It reacts with hydrogen peroxide in the presence of tertiary butyl hydroperoxide to form hydrogen bromide (HBr). This chemical can also react with chloride to form the mixed anhydride of 4-bromo-2,4dichlorobenzene and trifluoromethylbenzoyl chloride.
