Product Information
- Benzaldehyde, 4-Bromo-2-(Trifluoromethyl)-
4-Bromo-2-(trifluoromethyl)benzaldehyde (4BrFBA) is an inhibitor of the enzyme phosphorylation. It binds to the ATP site in kinases and inhibits the enzymatic activity. The binding of 4BrFBA causes conformational changes in the protein, which leads to a decrease in kinase activity. The binding site is the ATP pocket and 4BrFBA can inhibit both tyrosine and serine/threonine kinases. 4BrFBA has been shown to inhibit tumor growth by inhibiting colony-stimulating factor 1 receptor (CSF1R). This drug also inhibits colony-stimulating factor 1 (CSF1), which is a cytokine that stimulates hematopoietic stem cells and macrophages, leading to an inhibition of tumor growth.
