2-bromo-4-fluorobenzenesulfonyl Chloride is an amine that is used as a reactive intermediate in the synthesis of a number of organic compounds. This compound is synthesized by the reaction of 2-bromo-4-fluoroanilinesulfonyl chloride with sodium amide, which forms an intramolecular amine. The product can then be converted to other functional groups by reactions with chlorides, such as 2,2'-dichlorodiphenylsulfone and 3,3'-dimethoxybenzidine. The sequential multicomponent reactions are carried out in one pot and are catalyzed by palladium or nickel.
