Product Information
Benzyl-3-hydroxyphenylacetate is a preparative compound that is used to synthesize stereoisomers. It can be obtained by the reaction of benzyl alcohol with acetophenone in the presence of sodium hydroxide. This compound has sixfold stereogenic centers, and it has been postulated that it may be chiral. The synthesis of this compound was carried out using molecular modeling, butanoic acid and glutamate as starting materials. The product was separated using high-performance liquid chromatography (Hplc). Benzyl-3-hydroxyphenylacetate has anti-aging properties and can be used to synthesize stereoisomers.
