Product Information
Bpoc-Arg(Mtr)-OH is a benzyl ester and a precursor for the synthesis of benzyl-protected amino acids. It is also used in the preparation of resorcinol, carbocation, dimethyl sulfide, dimer, and trifluoroacetic acid. Bpoc-Arg(Mtr)-OH can be synthesized from resorcinol and dimethyl sulfide in two steps. The first step involves the conversion of resorcinol to its corresponding methyl ether by using trifluoroacetic acid as a solvent. In the second step, this methyl ether is converted to Bpoc-Arg(Mtr)-OH by using dimethyl sulfide in an alkene reaction with sodium methoxide (NaOMe).
