Product Information
- 1H-Pyrazole-4-carboxylic acid, 1-(phenylmethyl)-
1-Benzyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxylic acid (BA) is a synthetic compound that has been investigated for its ability to inhibit the activity of kallikrein and other proteases, which are involved in the degradation of various proteins. BA has shown efficacy in treating retinopathies, cerebral ischemia, and thrombolysis. BA binds to the adenosine receptor antagonist site on the protein, inhibiting the breakdown of collagen and other proteins. Intravitreal injection of BA has also been shown to be effective in reducing neovascularization in retinal diseases such as macular degeneration.
