Description:
4-[(4-Bromobenzyl)oxy]-3-ethoxybenzaldehyde is a chemical compound. It belongs to the benzofuran derivatives and has been used as a precursor for the production of other drugs like acetylphenylethylamine, 3-ethoxybenzaldehyde, and 4-(4-bromobenzyl)phenol. It is also used in the synthesis of histone deacetylase inhibitors. This compound has been shown to be effective in treating some neurodegenerative diseases such as cerebrovascular disease, hyperglycemia, and heart disease. However, it is not yet known how this drug works or the mechanisms it uses to treat these diseases.
