Product Information
- Tert-Butyl (Morpholin-2-Ylmethyl)Carbamate
Tert-butyl morpholin-2-ylmethylcarbamate is a small molecule that has been shown to be effective in inhibiting colon cancer. It was found to inhibit the growth of cells by binding to and abrogating the activity of the enzyme xanthine dehydrogenase. Tert-butyl morpholin-2-ylmethylcarbamate was found to bind to purine, which is a ligand for xanthine dehydrogenase, and prevent it from functioning properly. This led to an increase in adenosine levels and the subsequent decrease in cell growth. The low molecular weight of tert-butyl morpholin-2-ylmethylcarbamate makes it easy to cross cellular membranes and into cells, making it a good candidate for cancer therapy.
