Description

N,N-Bis(pyridin-3-ylmethyl)amine is a fluorescent probe that is used for the determination of ciprofloxacin, which is an antibiotic. It can be detected by optical imaging, and has a linear range of 1 to 10 μM. This compound is also useful for assays, as it exhibits high detection at low concentrations and can be used in strategies to detect other compounds. N,N-Bis(pyridin-3-ylmethyl)amine displays red fluorescence with an excitation wavelength of 400 nm and emission wavelength of 510 nm. It has been shown to have strong optical properties that are suitable for use in pharmaceutical preparations as well as conjugates with silicon nanoparticles.
