Product Information
4,4'-Bipiperidine is an organic molecule that can be used as a viscosity absorber for acid solutions. The molecule has been shown to have strong absorption properties in the ultraviolet region. The 4,4'-bipiperidine molecules can be programmed to form supramolecular structures through cross-coupling reactions with acetonitrile and cyanuric chloride. The chloride ions are trisubstituted by the piperazine ring. As a result, the supramolecular structure is stable under acidic conditions and releases fluorescence when irradiated by ultraviolet light. These properties make 4,4'-bipiperidine suitable as a template molecule for fluorescent materials.
