Product Information
- 2-(1,3-Benzothiazol-2-yl)anilin
- Benzenamine, 2-(2-Benzothiazolyl)-
2-(1,3-Benzothiazol-2-yl)aniline is a fluorescent probe that can be used to detect cyanate. It has been shown to react with the anion of cyanate. 2-(1,3-Benzothiazol-2-yl)aniline has been used as a fluorescence probe for detection of cyanate in wastewater and other environmental samples. This chemical reacts with the anion of cyanate, which causes a change in fluorescence intensity. 2-(1,3-Benzothiazol-2-yl)aniline has also been used as a hydrogen bond acceptor in the study of hydrogen bonding interactions and chemical species. The functional theory was developed based on this work.
