Description:
1-Benzoylpiperidine-4-carboxylic acid is metabolized by CYP450 enzymes and can inhibit the activity of Fxa. It has been shown to be a potent 5-HT2A receptor antagonist, which may be useful in the treatment of anxiety disorders. This compound has also been shown to have therapeutic effects against TNF-α induced inflammation. Furthermore, 1-Benzoylpiperidine-4-carboxylic acid is resistant to degradation by carboxylic acids and chloride ions.
