Description

Tert-butyl 7-bromo-2,3-dihydro-1,4-benzoxazepine-4(5H)-carboxylate is a hydroxamic acid derivative with vasomotor symptoms. It has been shown to have cognition enhancing effects and to inhibit reuptake of monoamines in the brain. Tert-butyl 7-bromo-2,3-dihydro-1,4-benzoxazepine 4(5H)carboxylate has also been shown to be a histone deacetylase inhibitor, which may contribute to its antihistamine and anticholinergic properties. This drug has been studied for the treatment of diabetic neuropathy and other nervous system disorders.
