Description:

2-Bromo-N-(4-chlorophenyl)acetamide is a halogenated derivative of acetanilide. It has been used as an antifouling agent in animal husbandry and as an underwater chemical to control marine organisms. 2-Bromo-N-(4-chlorophenyl)acetamide has been shown to be toxic to animals, including humans. It is also known to cause cancer in male rats, as well as damage the liver and kidneys of female rats.
