N'-Benzoyl-N,N'-dimethylbenzohydrazide is a drug that belongs to the group of opioids. It is used as an anaesthetic for surgical procedures and for intubation during surgery. The drug has strong depressant effects on the cardiovascular system and can lead to cardiac arrest. Pentobarbital sodium (Pentothal) is a barbiturate that is used as an anaesthetic. It induces a state of general anaesthesia by depressing the central nervous system and increases the duration of action by slowing down metabolism in brain cells.
