Description:

5-Bromo-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-amine is a synthetic antiplatelet agent that belongs to the thiosemicarbazide class. It has been shown to have broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. 5-Bromo-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-amine is an orally bioavailable drug that can be used in the treatment of bacterial infections caused by Gram negative bacteria. The molecular modeling study suggests that this compound binds to the enzyme active site of DNA gyrase and inhibits its activity. 5Bromo-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2 amine is deuterated and can be used for molecular modeling studies because it is soluble in organic solvents.
