Description:
4-(Bis(4-methoxyphenyl)amino)benzaldehyde is a probe for the study of solar cells. It is an efficient fluorescent dye that absorbs light at wavelengths between 400 and 500 nm, with a maximum absorption at 420 nm. 4-(Bis(4-methoxyphenyl)amino)benzaldehyde has been used in fluorescence microscopy to monitor the efficiency of solar cells by measuring the amount of energy that is converted into electrical energy. This compound has also been used as an organometallic ligand in catalytic reactions and as an energetics reagent in cyclic voltammetry.
