(1H-Benzo[d]imidazol-2-yl)methanamine hydrochloride is a cyclic syncytial virus that causes respiratory infection in humans. It can be found in the faeces of those infected with Streptococcus faecalis, and has been shown to kill Streptococcus pneumoniae, among other bacteria. (1H-Benzo[d]imidazol-2-yl)methanamine hydrochloride is a fluoroalkyl antibiotic that can inhibit the growth of Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria. It also shows antibacterial activity against Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Chlamydia trachomatis, and Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
