Description

[1,1'-Bis(diphenylphosphino)ferrocene]-dichloropalladium (II) is a catalyst used in cross-coupling reactions. It has been shown to be an efficient catalyst for the synthesis of substituted benzene derivatives. The presence of substituents on the benzene ring influences its reactivity and selectivity with respect to other substrates. In addition, it can be used as a photochemical source of ferrocenium ions, which are useful intermediates in organic synthesis. This compound is also used to simulate the reaction mechanisms of thiophene and triazine compounds.
