Description:

7-Bromo-4-chlorothieno[3,2-d]pyrimidine is a chemical compound that is used as an anti-cancer agent. It inhibits protein tyrosine kinase and diacylglycerol synthesis. This inhibition leads to the activation of the caspase cascade, which causes apoptotic cell death. 7-Bromo-4-chlorothieno[3,2-d]pyrimidine has been shown to be effective against breast cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. 7-Bromo-4-chlorothieno[3,2-d]pyrimidine also has a low cytotoxicity for normal cells.
