Product Information
Benzo[b]thiophen-2-amine is a chromophore that has been synthesized to be used as a dyebath intermediate. It is an amine with two electron withdrawing groups at the 2 and 6 positions, which can interact with copper salts to produce a triflic acid. The dyebath intermediate can then be used in the synthesis of ruthenium complexes. In addition, benzo[b]thiophen-2-amine has been shown to have cytotoxic effects against tumor cells and is currently being investigated for its potential use as an anticancer drug.
