Description

1-Benzylpyrrolidin-3-amine is a neutralizing drug that belongs to the class of organic solvents. It has been shown to be effective against scopolamine-induced memory deficits in vivo. This drug has a pharmacokinetic study that suggests it is able to cross the blood-brain barrier and bind to 5-HT2 receptors. 1-Benzylpyrrolidin-3-amine is also able to inhibit nitric oxide production by microbial cells, which may be due to its catalytic reduction activity. This drug has a benzyl group, an ethyl group, and an amide functional group; it contains an amine substituent on nitrogen atom in the pyrrolidine ring.
