Description:
Bis(2,4-dimethoxybenzyl)amine is a potent inhibitor of sulfatase enzyme. The enzyme catalyzes the hydrolysis of steroid sulfates, such as estrone-3-sulfate and estradiol-17-sulfate, to produce the corresponding free steroids. Bis(2,4-dimethoxybenzyl)amine has been shown to inhibit sulfatase activity in both rat and murine tissues. It also has a high inhibitory potency against allyl group in biomolecules.
