Product Information
1H-Benzo[d]imidazole-2-carboxamide is a hydrogen bond inhibitor that has been shown to inhibit the activity of enzymes that are involved in neurotransmission. It has been shown to have anti-cancer effects in vitro, and also inhibits tumor growth in vivo. 1H-Benzo[d]imidazole-2-carboxamide is able to inhibit the activity of parp-1, a DNA repair enzyme, which may be one mechanism for its ability to suppress tumor growth. This drug also blocks adp-ribose binding at the benzimidazole site on G proteins and inhibits receptor activity. 1H-Benzo[d]imidazole-2-carboxamide can be taken orally and is not metabolized by cytochrome P450 enzymes.
