Description

N-Benzyl-7-nitrobenzo[c][1,2,5]oxadiazol-4-amine (NBDO) is a fluorescent probe that is used to measure the hydrogen bonding interactions between proteins and nucleic acids. NBDO has been shown to be an effective biocide for wastewater treatment and for disinfection of drinking water. It can also be used as an anti-infective agent in the treatment of infectious diseases such as malaria and HIV.
