BDA-366 is a molecule that has potent antitumor activity. It induces apoptosis in cancer cells by dephosphorylating the BCL-2 gene, which leads to the release of pro-apoptotic protein, such as BAX, and the activation of caspases. In addition, BDA-366 has been shown to inhibit proliferation of hematopoietic cells and induce lymphocytic leukemia cell death. Novartis has developed an antibody against BDA-366 to counteract its effects.
