1,3-Bis(4,5-dihydro-2-oxazolyl)benzene is a reactive phenoxy compound that has been shown to react with phosphorous acid and polycarboxylic acids to form amides. This reaction mechanism was studied using 13C NMR spectroscopy on a model system.
