Product Information
- 2-Pyridinecarbonyl Chloride, 5-Bromo-
5-Bromopyridine-2-carbonylchloride is a pyridine derivative that has been used for the fabrication of organic light emitting diodes. 5-Bromopyridine-2-carbonylchloride is activated with an electron donor, such as phenylboronic acid, to form a reactive intermediate which can be introduced into a polymer. The dihedral angle between the two pyridine rings in 5-bromopyridine-2-carbonylchloride is approximately 180°, which allows for hydrogen bonding interactions with other molecules. This compound has a photophysical lifetime of less than 1 microsecond and fluorescence quantum efficiency of 0.3%.
