Product Information
3-Bromo-2-iodopyridine is an alkynyl compound with a modular structure. The molecule is stable at room temperature but undergoes deprotonation when heated to higher temperatures. 3-Bromo-2-iodopyridine has been used in the Suzuki coupling reaction for the synthesis of biomolecules and reactive fluorine compounds. This chemical has also been shown to be a highly effective catalyst for the fluorination of alkenes and trifluoromethylations of aromatic rings. It can be used industrially as a precursor to fluorine atoms, which are often incorporated into pharmaceuticals and other industrial processes.
