Description:

3-(2-Bromo-phenyl)-propionaldehyde is a Grignard reagent that is used in the synthesis of amides. It is homochiral, which means that it has only one type of chiral center, and this center is on a carbon atom with four different groups attached to it. 3-(2-Bromo-phenyl)-propionaldehyde can also be used as a hydrogenation catalyst for furans, as well as an asymmetric synthesis catalyst. It also has affinity for activated chlorine and imine, making it useful for biomolecular research.
