Description:

3-Bromoimidazo[1,2-a]pyridine is a reactive organic compound that undergoes cross-coupling reactions. It can be prepared by reacting malonate with imidazopyridine. 3-Bromoimidazo[1,2-a]pyridine has been used in palladium-catalyzed cross coupling reactions to synthesize polyhalogenated heterocycles and alkynes. This compound has also been shown to react with sulfoxide in the presence of base to yield imidazopyridine. 3-Bromoimidazo[1,2-a]pyridine is also a precursor for the synthesis of other biologically active compounds such as enol ethers and sulfides.
